ABOUT

Hello and welcome!

The two questions I hear most often are what kind of people do I work with and what is my area of specialization. The truth is that I work with everyday people who are hurting and feeling like they can no longer help themselves. They might be struggling with a major change occurring in their life, or with some kind of distress that has been building momentum for years.  Either way, I see myself as one of the many tools needed to facilitate the change they are seeking.

I consider my specialization to actually be each individual client!  The bottom line is, I am more interested in you than in your problem, condition, or diagnosis. You are so much more than your diagnosis or what you are currently struggling with. What’s most important to me is helping you find your way again. Problems can and will come and go throughout life, and if your inner resources are intact, they will direct your actions and keep you on course.

About Me

I have lived in the Treasure Valley for most of my life.  I went to college and received my Bachelors Degree in Psychology at the University of California, San Diego.  I then returned to Idaho and pursued my graduate degree from Idaho State University’s Masters Counseling Program in Boise.  While working toward my Masters Degree,  I did internships with the Women’s Minimum-Security Prison and with the Women’s and Children’s Alliance in Boise.

After graduating in 2005, I received my licence and worked on and off in the counseling field while raising my two young children. I finally made the decision in 2014 to start my private practice and shortly after, moved to my current location.
